Call to check-in. I always request that you call 5-7 days after beginning a remedy. During that brief call, we can clear up any questions or concerns you might have.
If you experience unexpected or strong responses to a remedy, please call. Homeopathy is about healing, and although there may be challenges in the healing process, support is available to you as needed.
Keep a brief daily log or record of symptoms, or changes, which we can refer to at follow-up appointments.
Be informed. Because most people are unfamiliar with taking homeopathic remedies, it is important to read and follow the guidelines provided.
Directions. There are several different ways of taking homeopathic remedies, please understand the procedures for taking your particular remedy.
Change your perceptions. Homeopathic remedies work differently from traditional medicines. It is often necessary to make a “paradigm shift” in your perceptions about your healing process.
Symptoms. If you develop an acute illness or if prior symptoms return please call. This may be an important development!
Check-in. Once again please call 5-7 days after beginning a remedy.
Have regular follow-up appointments. TAKING THE REMEDY IS JUST THE FIRST STEP IN THE HOMEOPATHIC PROCESS!! Remedies can work quickly or slowly, or stop working altogether. It is not uncommon for patients to need more than one remedy in the healing process. Being consistent with appointments will ensure that you won’t stall or slide back on the healing path. Initially, appointments are scheduled every 4-6 weeks. As you progress, appointments will be extended to every 2-3 months. I highly recommend staying with homeopathic treatment for a minimum of 6 months to gain the maximum benefit.
Be committed. Healing is not always a smooth process. There will be ups and downs, just as there are in life.
The simillimum. The optimum remedy for you is called the “simillimum” and it can continue to help you for the rest of your life, to support you, to restore you after an acute illness, and to provide a boost when your energy is low.
MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Exercise. get plenty of fresh air and sufficient sleep.
Eat a healthy diet. Cut down on sugar, caffeine (especially coffee), alcohol and other foods which are not necessarily nutritionally sound. Drink plenty of fresh water and other good quality beverages.
Reduce the stresses in your life. Keep work in balance.
Rest, relax, meditate or allow yourself to enjoy periods of quiet/silence.
Let go of anger and negative emotions. Keep focused on positive, healing thoughts. (As you think, so you will become.) Be kind, patient and tolerant with others and yourself.
Pace yourself. Practice moderation.
